Freshly prepared meals
Meals during the trek typically include:
Lunch: Salads or vegetables served with eggs, barbecue, or spaghetti
Dinner: Soup followed by Moroccan classics like tajines, couscous, and seasonal fresh fruit
🚫 Important Note: Due to high summer temperatures, these treks are not available in July and August.
🏜️ Day 1: From M’Hamid Village to the Oldest Kasbah and Then the Camp
🕒 6 hours trekking – optional camel riding
Begin your journey from M’Hamid in the morning with a short exploration into the edge of the Sahara. Trek through green fields toward the ancient Kasbah of M’Hamid, where you’ll meet locals and enjoy a traditional cup of tea.
Continue toward the Rass Enkhal oasis, where sand dunes blend beautifully with scattered palm trees and grass. Enjoy a shaded picnic lunch in this peaceful setting.
In the late afternoon, make your way to the spiritual site of Sidi Naji, an area of soft dunes and serene landscapes. Set up camp, collect firewood, and hike to the top of a dune to witness the spectacular sunset. Return to camp for Berber tea, a hearty dinner, and a magical night under the stars.
🌄 Day 2: From Sidi Naji Back to M’Hamid
🕒 6 hours trekking – optional camel riding
Wake early to experience the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast before packing up. Travel like true nomads, crossing the Dra’a Valley—a historic meeting point for camel caravans in spring.
Smell the sweet aroma of ricola plants, a desert mint that grows in the area. Pause for lunch under tamarisk trees, and enjoy a chat with local nomads before continuing your journey back to M’Hamid, where your trek ends in the evening.
