🏜️ Day 1: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Mhamid – Erg Lihouidi Desert
Begin your desert adventure with a morning departure from your riad or hotel in Ouarzazate. Travel south toward the Mhamid Desert, passing through the town of Agdez, where you’ll enjoy a short tea break and admire the first views of the Draa Valley.

Continue your journey along this historic valley, once a vital caravan route, lined with traditional kasbahs, lush palm groves, and Berber villages. Stop in Zagora for lunch before reaching Mhamid, the last village before the open desert.

In the late afternoon, set off on a peaceful camel trek into the Erg Lihouidi dunes, a tranquil sea of sand shaped by the winds of the Sahara. Witness a magical sunset over the dunes, then settle into your Berber camp for a traditional Moroccan dinner and a night under the starry desert sky.

🌄 Day 2: Mhamid – Tamegroute – Tamnougalt – Ouarzazate
Rise early to experience the beauty of sunrise over the Sahara, followed by breakfast at the camp. Return by camel to Mhamid, then begin your northbound drive.

Stop in the historic village of Tamegroute, known for its Koranic library, ancient manuscripts, and unique green-glazed pottery. Continue to Tamnougalt, a 16th-century fortified kasbah nestled in the Draa Valley, where you’ll enjoy lunch amidst a setting rich in southern Moroccan heritage.

Finally, drive across the Anti-Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tinfifte Pass (1,660m), and return to Ouarzazate in the late afternoon, concluding your immersive 2-day Sahara adventure.
