Most of our Camel Treks begin and end in M’Hamid, a small desert village at the edge of the Sahara. To join the trek, you will need to make your own way to M’Hamid and back. However, if preferred, Ultimate Morocco Tours can arrange comfortable transport for you—please inform us when booking your tour.

Our treks are fully equipped to ensure a smooth and authentic desert experience. We provide:

• Camels for riding and/or luggage transport

• Luggage bags

• Kitchen equipment

• Sleeping tents and gear

• Freshly prepared meals

Daily meals typically include:

• Lunch: Fresh salads or cooked vegetables served with eggs, barbecued meats, or pasta.

• Dinner: A warm soup followed by traditional tajine, couscous, or other Moroccan specialties, and fresh seasonal fruit for dessert.

🛑 Note: Due to extreme temperatures, these camel trekking tours are not available during the peak summer months (July–August).

🐪 Day 1: M’Hamid – Krait Ejmal Dunes

Begin your desert adventure by riding camels from M’Hamid, exploring the beautiful landscapes of the surrounding desert. After approximately 3 hours of riding, stop for a relaxing lunch under a tree.
In the afternoon, continue for another 3 hours, alternating between walking and riding, until reaching the peaceful Krait Ejmal dunes. Set up camp and enjoy dinner under the stars.

🏜️ Day 2: Krait Ejmal – Rocky Desert – Bougaran

After breakfast, continue deeper into the desert. Cross a vast rocky desert area over 3 hours of riding before stopping for lunch in this remote wilderness.
Resume your journey, walking through rare and stunning desert scenery for another 3 hours, until you arrive at the picturesque dunes of Bougaran. Spend the night in Berber tents after a warm dinner.

🌴 Day 3: Bougaran – Sacred Oasis – Erg Chigaga

Following sunrise and breakfast, set out toward the majestic Erg Chigaga dunes. Along the way, stop at the Sacred Oasis, a rare water source surrounded by palm trees, cherished by nomads.
After lunch and tea, continue 15 km to the spectacular Erg Chigaga, with dunes rising up to 300 meters. Enjoy a stunning sunset from the high dunes, followed by dinner and traditional music at your Berber camp.

🚙 Day 4: Erg Chigaga – Return to M’Hamid by 4×4

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return to M’Hamid by 4×4 across desert terrain. Arrival is expected around 10:30 AM.
