Most of our Camel Treks begin and end in M’Hamid, a remote desert village at the edge of the Sahara. Travelers usually arrange their own transport to and from M’Hamid; however, Ultimate Morocco Tours can organize transfers upon request—please inform us when booking.

We provide all essential equipment and support for an authentic desert experience, including:

• Camels for riding and/or carrying luggage

• Luggage bags

• Kitchen equipment

• Sleeping tents and camping gear

• Freshly prepared meals

Meal examples include:

• Lunch: Salads or cooked vegetables served with eggs, barbecue, or spaghetti

• Dinner: Soup followed by traditional Moroccan dishes like tajines, couscous, and fresh fruit

🐪 Day 1: From M’Hamid to the Desert Camp

Depart from M’Hamid, the gateway to the Sahara, in the afternoon. Embark on a magical two-hour camel ride to the Erg Lihoudi dune fields north of M’Hamid. Experience the stunning desert landscapes, alternating between sandy dunes and rocky hamada.
Arrive at the desert camp of traditional Berber tents at sunset. Take a walk to the top of a dune to admire the spectacular play of light and shadows on the sands. As night falls, return to camp for tea, dinner, music around the campfire, and spend the night in a nomad tent.

🌅 Day 2: Return to M’Hamid

Wake early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, ride camels back to M’Hamid village for the end of your desert journey.
