Your Desert Journey Includes:
Scenic Drive: Depart from Mhamid in the afternoon and travel through the wild Hamada desert.
Enjoy the changing landscapes as you pass through smaller dunes and reach a hidden oasis with lush
palm trees. Take a moment to appreciate the tranquility and beauty of this secluded spot.
Arrival at Erg Chigaga: Continue your adventure for approximately 15 kilometers to reach the iconic
Erg Chigaga sand dunes. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with traditional Berber mint tea, served in
true local style. Your guide will then escort you to the highest dune in the area to witness a
breathtaking desert sunset.
Comfortable Desert Camp: Our desert camp is nestled just steps from the sand, offering a choice
between Standard and Luxury tents. Enjoy modern comforts including showers and toilets to refresh
yourself. Dinner is served with tender dishes, and the evening is enhanced by traditional drumming,
inviting you to dance under the starlit sky.
Sunrise Camel Ride: Wake up early for a camel ride to the top of the highest dune, where you’ll
experience a spectacular sunrise. The expansive views of the desert at dawn are truly unforgettable.
Return to Mhamid: After a hearty breakfast, journey back to Mhamid via a different route, offering
new and captivating desert vistas.
Extended Stays and Additional Activities
For those who wish to extend their desert experience, we offer options to stay 2 or 3 nights at the
same camp. During your extended stay, you can enjoy a variety of activities including sandboarding,
visiting local nomad families, cooking classes, or simply relaxing in the serene desert environment.
